We all like to stutter in our own ways. Stuttering is such - a highly individual thing. There are many different types of stutterers. However, some share many characteristics, which enables stuttering categories to be formed...
Below are 5:
1. Introverted and Outgoing
These stutterers are those are enjoy and feel comfortable with their own company. But at the same time, they enjoy getting out and about and mixing with people. They stammer most when around others, but have fun at the same time. Having said this, they don't need to be the life and soul of the party.
2. Extroverted and Confident
These like to stutter the way they want to, when they want and who they want to with. They love the company of others and insist on stammering when around people. Their stammering is loud and secure. They can't stand being alone.
3. Pretentious and Try Hard
Pretentious stutterers are those who think they are better than other stutterers. However, they are fakers. They like to buy expensive clothing (even though they can't really afford them). They try and hang out in the hot spots where posh stutterers congregate. However, it still hasn't dawned on them, that these so called 'posh' stutterers are pretentious ones themselves!
4. Elegant and Genuine
These stutterers are the genuine posh ones and they know it. They usually stutter in the most stylish threads. They eat at the most expensive restaurants and are seen mixing in the 'high class' circles. They usually stutter in a posh accent and hold garden parties in the summer for other wealthy stutterers. They usually find the lives of simple and peaceful stammerers quite fascinating (see below) and will take regular holidays to locations such as the Himalayas.
5. Simple and Peaceful
These are humble ones, satisfied with the simple things in life. They enjoy nature, healthy foods and like hanging out in quiet places like libraries. If you speak to stutterer who is wearing an old t-shirt and shorts, and look totally comfortable doing so, then you could be speaking to a simple and peaceful one. But remember, their stutter may be so quiet, you could miss it. However, it will always have an element of joy attached to it.
So there you have it. 5 types of stutterers!
